Dr. Sarah Martinelli is a Board Certified Endodontist. She founded Shire City Endo in the spring of 2021 with the goal of creating consistently positive patient experiences.
As an art history and math double major at Williams College, she pursued work at an art gallery in New York City following college graduation. Her persistent interest in science paired with her artistic sensibility ultimately brought her into the dental world. After graduating cum laude from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Martinelli attended her endodontic residency at Virginia Commonwealth University where she served as chief resident and completed a thesis on cracked teeth.
Dr. Martinelli was able to implement the most state-of-the-art infection control practices while undergoing construction of Shire City Endo during the COVID-19 pandemic. She is fortunate to have an ambitious team of staff just as focused as she is on creating a seamless experience for patients and referring dentists.
She is a member of the Massachusetts Dental Society, the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the Berkshire District Dental Society, the Spear Education study club, and a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
Dr. Martinelli shares her home in Richmond with her husband, two children, a mastiff named Juniper, and a healthy dose of chaos.
SERVICES
Endodontists are dentists who have completed additional years of training to specialize in treating diseases and injuries of the soft tissues inside a tooth (dental pulp). They are skilled at diagnosing tooth pain, discussing the best approach for saving your tooth, and providing root canal treatment and other treatments to help maintain a tooth.
Dr. Martinelli provides a range of endodontic services including:

Treatment of cracked teeth
